Sparkle, sparkle my dears, the end of 2013 is near. This month offers us more than real or faux reasons to have snacks and light candles, things I myself encourage year round!

- Fri 12/6: National Day of Remembrance and Action on Violence Against Women

Dec 1: Heels on Wheels presents The Opentoe Peepshow
The Opentoe Peepshow is a monthly salon that reveals new work by queer artists the first Sunday of every month in Brooklyn, at the Branded Saloon.
This month’s artists are: Kelli Dunham, Winter Laike, Samantha Galarza, Audrey Zee Whitesides, Lady Quesadilla (Alejandro Rodriguez), West Vargina (Heather Acs) & a video by Great Small Works‘ Jenny Romaine!

Time & Cost: Sunday Dec 1, doors 7p, show 7:30p *sharp* — we sell out so come early! $3-$10, no one turned away for lack of funds // this event is volunteer-run and the door split supports artists directly.
Venue: Branded Saloon, 603 Vanderbilt Avenue @ the corner of Bergen St., Brooklyn, NY 11238. Accessibility info: Branded has a wheelchair accessible entrance and washroom. It’s a bar … but there are no bouncers on Sundays. Please contact us with any questions.
Heels on Wheels is a Brooklyn-based group of interdisciplinary artists who create performance-based cultural works and community events that have a feminist and radical agenda, are produced from sites of femme/inine-positive queer embodiment, and reveal the power in under-represented communities. Join queer performance artists Kelli Dunham, Dan Fishback, Sassafras Lowrey, Damien Luxe, Grace Moon, Officer Ruffins, Elizabeth Whitney and others for a roast of Capitalism as we toast our friend, comic Jessica Halem, as she starts business school!
